Affiliate marketing has quickly become one of the most popular and most effective advertising tools available today. Using affiliate marketing, anyone who has a website has the ability to generate an income.
So, what is affiliate marketing? Basically, affiliate marketing is simply an agreement that says the owner of the website will allow the merchant the right to use their website for advertising purposes. The merchant will be allowed to advertise a specific product or they will be allowed to link directly to their own website. The website owner then receives a commission for every sale that is generated by the advertisement or link.
There are other benefits to affiliate marketing. The low cost involved is one of the biggest. Most affiliate programs are free to join. There is no product to develop and no time involved in proving the value of that product.
